http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080819/NEWS08/808190357/1010/NEWS08
I received the news of Lida Mattman's death this morning. My B.S. degree is from Wayne State Univ at the same Lida Mattman was a Professor there. What a loss for us all.

Wasn't she nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine at one point? Way ahead of her time...

Her presentation at our Chicago 2005 conference, her last presentation of which a usable video record exists, is on our Chicago 2005 DVDs. I am currently re-mixing it for computer monitors, using all the latest software tools, so that the recording will endure for posterity...

Iona,
That was Lida's presentation at 30th Anniversary of Lyme, taken from the DVDs (which I had been told were copyright). I found her interaction Joanne Whittaker at that conference to be rather more interesting than her own talk. Pity they haven't run both together, just as they occurred on the program.
Now that we have the new YouTube channel, I will try to get time to put Lida's presentation at our Chicago conference online there...
