I am also working with tech support as there is a way to set the board so that you can use the text size feature of Internet Explorer to make the font bigger when you are reading.

Right now it is only working on some posts and I am waiting for a reply from tech support to see if we can get it to work for all posts.

When it is working, you will only need to go to the task bar of Internet Explorer and select "View" > "Text Size" and then select the size font you prefer.

The settings allow members to use the View > Text Size feature of their Internet Explorer browsers to enlarge the font while reading the board.

If you are using Internet Explorer, please go to View > Text Sized and make sure that your text size is set to medium or larger.

Use the control key & mouse WHEEL together, then adjust the wheel upward to enlarge or down to decrease size.

But I have done this first in my email system, and it just carries over to this board....nice large size.  Experiment until you find what works best for your eyes.

The board is setup so that members with vision difficulties can increase the text size.

The board software is optimized for IE 5.5 and higher.  We generally advise AOL users to minimize AOL and to use IE.

If you're using MS Internet Explorer, on the top menu go to View -  font- Text Size and experiment. and decrease to what works for you.

OR if you have a mouse, you can use the wheel and control key to increase or decrease...experiment.   You'll save a lot of time this way vs. the VIEW instructions.

If you are in Internet Explorer (won't work with AOL explorer) you can enlarge the text by holding control key and pushing the + key on the key board.

likewise if you push the - key it will make the post smaller..

for some reason the mp website comes up at about ten times normal size on my computer. It makes it almost unreadable does anyone have any suggestions?

Please note, I've just worked out why some websites appear too compacted, with words running into each other and some features inaccessible behind others...:shock::shock:

If you're having this problem, try SWITCHING OFF "ignore font sizes specified on web sizes" (temporarily). Doh.

Recently had similar problem after my daughter had visited a large "they should know better" site that hardcoded some text changes to my workstation. I worked nearly all settings and checked everywhere, but to no avail, except to use method Julia described to see this board for several weeks.

When I re-installed Microsoft office programs, it reset (probably re-installed defaults) for my online text and waalaa this board and other sites again show standard paragraph text at a legible sizes again.

Haven't looked at what CSS is used for this board or if any, but as many other websites slip errant code to computers of unwitting site guests in their zeal to control everything, I thought I would mention it.
