Actually my brain was not working or I would have remembered the 20mg Benicar Q2hrs early on and it would not have gotten so carried away, but I did not remember it until afternoon and by then it had a grip on me.

I am okay now, it is tolerable and I will see what tomorrow brings, I just might go back to 50mg mino, but I did it for about a week or more and felt I needed to move on to 75mg mino. But we will pay it by ear, as the saying goes, and see how my day goes.

Somebody, I think on your site, had discussed taking the mino in the morning. That's what I did with one dose, maybe I'll try that again.

I have had so much progress: no nebulizer, none of the neck pain I used to have, no migranes, I have endured every perfume I have come in contact with (that's sweet), and I can't even remember all the things that used to hurt. Sort of out of sight, out of mind (you know what I mean, I'm sure).

It may be better to take your acidoph about 3 hours or so away from the mino.. so the mino doesnt kill the live organisms..

eg. I take my pbx every morning with breakfast..

"Increase the (every other day) minocycline, slowly, in small increments. The usual dosage increment is 25mg per week. Allow a week or more between increased doses to make sure your Herxheimer reaction is not more than you wish to tolerate. Different bacteria and tissues can be targeted by different levels of antibiotics, so there is a good reason to stay at each dose until the Herxheimer is minimal.

You may take a 'break' from the antibiotics for a few days, or even a few weeks, if you need to feel better for a while. Continue to take the Benicar, however.

Do not try to 'speed up' therapy by using a higher dose of minocycline than the minimum needed to give you Herxheimer. These are very slow growing bacteria and there is no need to hurry. The dose of antibiotic that you can tolerate may change (both up and down) during the course of therapy. "

Would I be 'jumping over' bugs and leaving them behind to cause problems? I have made so much progress that I feel like I 'am wasting time' when I have had no herx and do not proceed. No, unfortunately, I'm not that far along, but I CAN go out, before dark, when it's still light outside, for a very short amount of time, w/o a reaction.

This is definitely very different than if I go out during the day with the sun high in the sky. THEN, I PAY DEARLY for it. :shock:

I think it's mainly trial and error. There's no other way to really know what you can "get away with" and what you can't.

BTW, when I'm herxing, I DO NOT experiment with the light. I stay inside, in my cave and wear eye protection for the PC and TV. :cool:
