I've recieved the Phase II questionaire and I have a couple questions on the eyewear - both sets of my big bulky totally plastic uncomfortable Noir glasses have broke - I've worn them with tape all over them and feel I'm worthy of a better fit/style not to mention comfortable pair of glasses at this point (smile) - Meg had asked the question on the questionaire which type of glasses am I using - NOIRS/BOLLE/OAKLEY/ZIESS - I'm wanting to know exactly which Oakely's and which Bolle's are recommended for the MP - I'm ready to order or go over to the Oakley store TODAY - I'm in desperate need of new glasses but want to make sure I get the one's Meg might've been refering to...
I'm currently just wearing regular sunglasses outside and have noticed more neurological herxing ...
Thanks
Paula

You now have access to the Phase 2 forum..
The ‘Phases Two and Three Forum’ (located in the PROGRESS REPORTS section) is designated only for members in Phases Two and Three. There are Information Posts at the top of the forum and a wealth of support.
We recommend starting a new progress report thread there and discuss the meds, dosing etc with Staff before you start.
and please let us know if you have ANY questions. all best, Barb ....

Hi to all -
MP MEDS: Benicar - 40mg. upon waking and at bedtime - 20mg. every 2-3 hours (as needed) the rest of the day
Phase 3
NON MP-MEDS: 100mcg levothroid (I've always forgotten to mention this one - due to cancer of my thyroid gland when I was 14 I had it removed and have been on thyroid supplement ever since - please note that the dosage has not changed at all throughout my MP treatment process) -
benedryl capsules for sleep, tylenol, alleve and 2mg. valium - all occasionally for pain...
SYMPTOMS: Low BP (low 60's over low 40's - sometimes it will even get to high 50's over high 30's). Muscle aches and pains, fatigue, etc...
Light/ Vitamin D Avoidance - mostly covered at all times when out of house - thank God the weather is starting to cool off a bit I don't ingest any vitamin D knowingly - but truly I would love to eat a scrambled egg with the YOLK... and some shrimp...(smile)....
Just checking in - I had a Dr. appointment yesterday with my Kaiser Pulmonary Dr. He doesn't treat me with the MP but has followed my progress and is very interested and supportive. I had chest x-rays and he said that he would interpret them as NORMAL and he also stated that he has many sarcoid patients and has never seen anyone (not being treated with prednisone) improve like this - noting my xrays from 2006 to the one I had yesterday - !!!!!!!!!! He was very impressed. We discussed that my SOB and occasional wheezing is most likely due to sarc bronchial inflammation at this point. He said my taking the benedryl frequently for sleep is fine...as I told him that it is rare for me to be able to sleep without it.
My right shoulder still persists - very painful but to be honest I've been slacking on my exersises for it and I think it was feeling better when I was doing them regularly - so I will get back to that.
It has been a big couple weeks and I'm treating myself to some additional "down time" as my body and mind need it - my husband was in and out of the emergency room all last week and finally had surgery Friday evening for a kidney stone, daughter with a painful boil in her ear canal and my son not feeling well and dealing with migraines, and my older son moving out... it has just been CRAZY.... but things seem to be settling down now with the school year getting underway, etc....
Thanks for "listening" - hope all is well....
God bless,
Paula
