Interesting that the VDR normally down-regulates this APCDD1 gene (Wang et al shows a negative 'score'). Clearly we still have a lot to learn.

I note that Hans Clevers' presentation identified lgr4/lgr5/lgr6 as markers for stem cell activity in the mouse hair follicle, Wang showed lgr4 is strongly expressed by the VDR...
